Music Sustainability Fund
Many of Nashville's musicians are also rideshare drivers, delivery workers, servers, bartenders, hotel staff, freelancers, and hourly workers doing whatever it takes to stay in the game. The Music Sustainability Fund helps them access the studios, community, and career infrastructure they need to keep creating.
Your gift doesn't just support music. It helps music get recorded.
The problem
The support system that once developed artists has largely disappeared. Publishers, labels, producers, distributors, and publicists each carried part of the load. Today the independent artist is expected to be all of them at once, and to finance the whole operation alone.
A serious working artist can spend 80 or more hours a week creating, performing, promoting, and running a small business, plus a second job just to pay rent. Only a small fraction of that time is spent making music. That is not a motivation problem. It is an infrastructure problem.
And as Nashville grows, the working musicians who give the city its name are being priced out of it.
The solution
The Music Sustainability Fund stops asking every artist to rebuild the music industry alone. It connects charitable support to shared, affordable infrastructure so working creators can spend less time surviving and more time making the music only they can make.
Through our partnership with HOME, eligible artists access professional studios, mentorship, education, and a community of working creators at roughly a quarter of market rates. A gift does not just buy studio time. It gives an artist their time back: a restaurant shift becomes a recording session, a rideshare night becomes a song.

Why this works
Studio time at HOME is already priced at roughly one-quarter the going rate in Nashville. Every dollar contributed to the fund plugs into a $2M+ ecosystem of studios, gear, staff, and programming that already serves working creators.
Who qualifies
Artists, songwriters, and producers with a proven track record and a real career that the gig economy keeps interrupting.
40+ hours / month
at a certified gig position qualifies a creator for 75% off a HOME membership.
What it funds
Supports 20 working creators for a full year of subsidized membership and resources.
Supports 100 working creators for a full year. The model proves out at city scale.
Lead gifts of $10,000 and above are named at our annual fundraiser.
